Biography
Kenseth Thibideau, formerly of the acclaimed groups Tarentel, Rumah Sakit, and Thingy, steers Howard Hello through dense layers of indie-rock atmosphere. Its experimental leanings, styled after Steve Reich and Brian Eno, fuse acoustic guitars, synthesizers, and the celestial voice of Wendy Allen into spectral pieces that intertwine Papa M, Songs: Ohia, and Jim O'Rourke with Tortoise.
Relocating to San Diego in 2001, Thibideau joined forces with Marty Anderson of Dilute and Wendy Allen of the Court & Spark; the resulting trio launched Howard Hello to explore warped yet personal textures. Temporary Residence issued the band's self-titled debut in March of 2002.
