Biography
Producer and guitar virtuoso Davide Tiso, previously of Ephel Duath and Gospel of the Witches, guides the extreme American progressive metal band Howling Sycamore through dense, downtuned riff textures, ferocious drumming patterns, wailing saxophone lines, and expansive prog vocal flights. The project came together in 2016 with multi-instrumentalist Tiso joined by drummer Hannes Grossman of Alkaloid and formerly Obscura plus vocalist Jason McMaster from Watchtower. On the self-titled debut issued by Prosthetic Records in 2018 the trio received additional contributions from baritone saxophonist Bruce Lamont of Yakuza and Brain Tentacles as well as guitarists Kevin Hufnagel, tied to Dysrhythmia and Gorguts, and Fester, associated with Burials and Humorous.
