Howse

Nathaniel Oak from Rhode Island records under the alias Howse, weaving house, dark ambient, juke, downtempo, and footwork into a sound that remains murky yet steadily propulsive. His debut pair of EPs, Undizputed and JST CHLLN, appeared on Howse’s Bandcamp page, after which the atmospheric and finely detailed character of his work prompted Astronautico to release a third EP, Trackz, in 2011. Tri Angle signed Howse the following year, and the Lay Hollow EP became his first project for the label upon its June arrival.
