Biography
California native Hudson Thames crafts romantic, soulful pop as a singer and songwriter. Recognition first came through acting roles, preceding the 2015 release of his single “How I Want Ya,” which featured Hailee Steinfeld.
Born in Los Angeles in 1994, he spent his childhood immersed in singing and piano playing within the family home. Early acting pursuits led to appearances on Greetings from Home, Rule the Mix, and Reba McEntire’s sitcom Malibu Country, where he performed his composition “Easy” in 2013. Around the same period he cultivated an audience by sharing cover versions online.
His debut EP, Lip Tricks, appeared in 2015 via Motown/Universal Records and contained the single “How I Want Ya” with Hailee Steinfeld. The bluesy track “LA Models” followed in 2017, succeeded by “Last Call” the next year.
