Hudson Westbrook

Texas native Hudson Westbrook delivers soulful country songs marked by sincere lyrics and occasional rock edges. After picking up guitar just a few years earlier, he saw one of his earliest compositions, “Take It Slow,” achieve rapid streaming growth in the first months of 2024. Momentum built quickly from there: before the year closed he had issued his debut EP and notched additional successes via “5 to 9” and “Pray Your Name.”

Stephenville, Texas, is where Westbrook grew up; he started on guitar in 2020 and, after beginning college, turned to songwriting a couple of years later. His first single, the relaxed country-rock number “Take It Slow,” arrived in April 2024 and soon accumulated streams. After signing with River House, he issued the brisker “Two Way Drive” several months afterward. By November, when his self-titled debut EP appeared, listeners had multiplied, driven in part by “5 to 9,” “Pray Your Name,” and “House Again.”
