Biography
The power pop band Humbert, based in Hialeah, Florida, originated in the eclectic group I Don't Know. That project initially brought together guitarist Ferny Coipel, bassist Tony Landa, and drummer Izo Besares. Singers/guitarists Derek Cintron and Rimsky Pons joined afterward, leading I Don't Know to evolve gradually into Humbert. The band then released its self-titled debut LP on the independent Sportatorium label in 1999.
