Biography
Aaron Pillar and Christopher Crisci, both of The Appleseed Cast, launched a side project in 2001 to explore territory apart from their main band. Naming the endeavor Hundred Hands, the duo brought in producer Ed Rose, completing the trio. The three developed a dense, experimental sound that fused intense emotional songwriting with powerful textures. That approach was preserved on the 2002 debut EP Little Eyes, a release celebrated for its rich sonic detail. The project resurfaced in 2005 with its first full-length, Her Accent Was Excellent, issued by Chicago’s Graveface Records.
