Biography
Emerging from Florida, the pop-punk/emo five-piece Hungover delivers polished, anthemic material whose style echoes the mid-2000s work of Motion City Soundtrack and Fall Out Boy. The band first drew nationwide notice after issuing its debut EP, WILT, in 2016.
Its origins trace to 2013 in Orlando, where singer Marc Cortes, guitarists Evan Colson and Sean Connors, bassist Austin Barney, and drummer Gabriel Santiago assembled from the remains of several earlier local groups. After spending a few years sharpening their craft on the Florida club circuit, the musicians self-released WILT in 2016. Strong underground interest prompted a signing with Smartpunk Records, which issued an expanded edition of the EP in 2018 that included three newly recorded songs.
