Biography
Formed in 1985 within Szczytno, a city situated in Poland’s Masurian Lake District, Hunter earned frequent comparisons to the nation’s equivalent of Metallica. The ensemble drew its name from Def Leppard’s track “Die Hard the Hunter” while shaping an aggressive fusion of thrash and power metal, although a full decade elapsed before the group delivered any recorded material. Their opening release, Requiem, surfaced in 1995 and was succeeded by Medeis (2003), T.E.L.I... (2005), Hellwood (2009), Królestwo (2012), and Imperium (2013), with the final two earning gold certification.
