Biography
Hunter Muskett stood out among UK ensembles of folk singer-songwriters through its distinctive fusion of pseudo ballads. Doug Morter, later known as guitarist for both Magna Carta and the Albion Band, lent particular distinction to the group. Roger Trevitt, Chris George, and Terry Hiscock rounded out the membership. Keith Relf of the Yardbirds oversaw production on the band’s second album.
Following Hunter Muskett’s dissolution, Morter went on to collaborate with artists including Richard Digance, the Maddy Prior Band, and Michael Chapman prior to joining the Albion Band in 1979 and again from 1983 to 1986, along with Magna Carter from 1980 to 1982. In the mid-80s he worked with Jerry Donahue And The Nerve.
