Biography
Hailing from Mobile, AL, the ensemble first assembled under the name Criminal Class U.S.A. and delivered its 2002 debut, Echos in the Streets, via GMM Records. Although the group later adopted the Hush Hush Revolution moniker, its raw punk attack stayed firmly in place. The sound fused punk with a country edge in a manner recalling The Clash and Johnny Cash, landing somewhere between Dropkick Murphys and a ska-free Rancid while also echoing Avail. David Mathews (acoustic guitar, vocals), Ernie Lindsey (drums), Roy Clark (bass, vocals), Jimmy Christ (lead guitar), and Brian Taylor (rhythm guitar) made up the lineup that returned with the more Southern-fried full-length Criminal Class U.S.A. Is in October 2006 on Arkam Records, distributed through No Idea.
