I Love You

During their Florida high school years, vocalist Christopher Palmer and guitarist Jeff Nolan first crossed paths. The pair soon began performing together and launched the Sinful Pigeons by adding bassist Mike Kossler. A brief tour followed, after which the members scattered, though Palmer, Nolan, and Kossler later regrouped as I Love You and placed a track on an SST compilation. Their set at an SST showcase drew notice from a Geffen executive, who offered the band a contract. Drummer Tom Sweet joined the lineup, and I Love You delivered their self-titled debut album in 1991.
