Biography
In 1996 Ian O'Brien rose to prominence through a distinctive tech-house-jazz fusion that marked him as one of the most gifted young figures in dance music, thanks to forward-thinking Ferox releases such as the singles “Intelligent Desert” and “Monkey Jazz.” Once his debut album Desert Scores appeared in February 1997, he turned toward a more soul-oriented nu-disco direction, evidenced by his remix of Lisa Stansfield’s “The Line” and the 4th Wave single “It’s an Everyday World.” Gigantic Days, his second LP, arrived in 1999.
