Idealism

Idealism serves as Lassi Kotamaki's platform for releasing his calm instrumental hip-hop productions. This self-reliant Finnish beatmaker favors a measured tempo throughout his work, which usually incorporates simple piano lines alongside consistent, muted rhythms that incorporate subtle touches of natural surroundings. Kotamaki took up drumming in childhood and later learned piano just prior to issuing his first recordings. Since the middle of the 2010s he has maintained a steady output of streaming and digital-download material that encompasses various standalone pieces such as the 2016 Jinsang collaboration "Winter Bokeh," as well as the EPs Rainy Evening (2016), Hiraeth, Amaranthine, and Nobody Else, with the final three appearing at different points during 2017.
