Biography
Originally hailing from Philadelphia, Weiss currently makes her home in New York City. Known for her keen songwriting on the subject of romantic irony, with several pieces interpreted by Anne Hills, Deidre McCalla, Robin Flowers, Marcy Marxer, Cathy Fink, and additional artists, she received nominations for a BMI Songwriters Award as well as two New York Music Awards. She further serves as a contributor to The Fast Folk Musical Magazine. Her recorded output encompasses the 1992 release Outside and Curious, the 1996 album Obviously, and 1997’s Weiss Christmas.
