Biography
Illogicist originated in Italy’s Alpine city of Aosta, drawing primary creative fuel from the technical death metal pioneered by Florida’s iconic Death. The lineup features Luca Minieri handling vocals and guitar, alongside guitarist Diego Ambrosi, bassist Emilio Dattolo, and drummer Remy Curtaz. Through the release of their early demos—Polymorphism of Death in 2002 and Dissonant Perspectives the following year—the band honed their complex compositional approach, culminating in the 2004 debut album Subjected. While this effort garnered mostly favorable critical response, the group has produced no further material since. The latest development involves the addition of Sergio Ponti as their new drummer.
