illwill

Sweden's Illwill formed as a short-lived supergroup hailing from that country, bringing together guitarist Andy LaRocque (King Diamond, Death, EF Band), bassist Sharlee d'Angelo (Witchery, Arch Enemy, Mercyful Fate, Dismember, etc.), drummer Snowy Shaw (Mercyful Fate, Memento Mori, King Diamond, Notre Dame, Dream Evil), and vocalist Yonas Af Dahlstrøm, who remained relatively unknown at the time. The quartet joined forces for the 1999 release Evilution, which mixed Pantera's guitar chunk with technical thrash metal in an aggressive style, though LaRocque, d'Angelo, Shaw, and Dahlstrøm showed no signs of reconvening under the Illwill name afterward.
