Biography
In Vancouver, the ensemble In Mirrors crafts ominous and tense sonic environments alongside dream pop compositions, typically incorporating otherworldly singing, gently throbbing synthesizers, and guitars that evoke atmosphere, sometimes infused with distortion effects. Jesse Taylor, formerly associated with the noise rock outfit Shearing Pinx, leads this collective, which also draws on input from Hiromi Inada as well as clarinetist Andrew Grosvenor. Johnny Jewel handled production and mixing duties for the group’s first full-length release, Escape from Berlin, and put it out through his own imprint, Italians Do It Better, during 2017.
