Biography
Midway through the 1990s, Incredible Force of Junior coalesced once Chris Mumford and Susan Robb finished college and relocated from upstate New York to the Pacific Northwest. Settling in Seattle, the pair enlisted drummer Steve Lodefink to launch the buoyant twee pop outfit. Just two releases resulted: the 1995 single “Blue Cheer” and the 1996 album Let the World Fall Apart on Up Records. Sessions ended abruptly when the group dissolved after Lodefink chose to concentrate on family responsibilities. Mumford later handled keyboards and guitar in Tullycraft, while Robb recorded as Milksnake. During their short span the band contributed to assorted compilations and helped shape numerous later indie pop acts.
