Biography
Infinite Coles crafts alternative R&B with a voice that conveys tenderness, vulnerability, and emotional range. In addition to singing and songwriting, he works as a model, dancer, and actor, and his childhood immersion in classic soul was matched by constant exposure to hip-hop through his father, Ghostface Killah. At fourteen he made his first stage appearance by chance at a Christmas gathering held at Wu-Tang Clan’s New Jersey headquarters. Several years afterward he began pursuing music more seriously. Multiple features on F. Virtue recordings arrived in 2016. The next year he contributed to Dick Van Dick’s “Phonetage,” yet wider notice came from his role on Close But Not Quite, the first release from Richard Russell’s Everything Is Recorded endeavor. There he co-wrote and sang lead on the track “D’elusion,” which also included Mela Murder and Scritti Politti’s Green Gartside. In early 2018 he returned to the Everything Is Recorded album, taking prominent parts on the similarly melancholic “Bloodshot Red Eyes,” “Be My Friend,” and “Purify,” the last featuring Peter Gabriel on keyboards.
