Biography
Intensus emerged from the vision of Eli Litwin, drummer for both Knife the Glitter and Burden, who launched the project as a recording effort intended to introduce improvisatory songwriting into extreme metal. Enlisting contributors including Tommy Rogers of Between the Buried and Me, Chris Alfano from East of the Wall, Alex Nagle of Satanized, and Jason Hermann also of Burden, among others, Litwin pursued an experimental direction within a style already celebrated for testing musical boundaries. The outcome is an approach that remains raw and unpredictable, shifting abruptly between styles while maintaining unrelenting intensity as its sole consistent element. The band joined Metal Blade and issued its first release, the self-titled Intensus, in 2011.
