Biography
Originating from Glasgow, Scotland, the spacey and mellow indie rock outfit International Airport functions primarily as the brainchild of Tom Crossley, whose earlier work included collaborations with the Pastels and Appendix Out. In 1996 Crossley launched the project, drawing on a loose collective of contributors once recording sessions got underway. The band's inaugural outing arrived as the 1999 7" Airport Songs on All City, while its first full-length album, Nothing We Can Control, appeared in 2000 with additional studio assistance from Tortoise's John McEntire.
