Biography
His training unfolded at De Paul University and continued under the guidance of Bloch and Milhaud. Although orchestral and chamber scores formed the core of his output, he gained particular recognition for pieces written for brass and percussion. The concerto Propulsions, completed in 1974, occupies an important position in the percussion repertory. Bazelon supplied music for the theater, cinema, and television while also producing a book on film scoring.
