Ivan Theva

Ivan Theva, a Nashville, Tennessee-based singer and songwriter, weaves subtle country-rock and contemporary electronic touches into his stark, introspective compositions. His debut album, Gardens, which delves into yearning self-reflection, came out in 2023. The following year, he issued the Waiting Here for You EP, further examining isolation and human connection.

Raised within a religious household, Theva infuses his music with faith, even if not overtly spiritual in nature. After a decade in Brooklyn, New York—where initial work on his first album took place—he moved to Nashville during 2022. Under the Descendant Records/Sony label, his initial single, the unhurried "Gardens," highlighted his full chest register and ethereal falsetto upon its September 2023 release. His thoughtful long-form debut, Gardens, followed one month later, featuring a joint effort with Will Reagan. November 2024 brought the Waiting Here for You EP, timed with his support tour for Reagan.
