Biography
John Colbert, performing as J. Blackfoot, fronted the Soul Children, a Memphis outfit that registered fifteen R&B chart successes from 1968 through 1978. He began his solo work under the J. Blackfoot name with the single "Taxi," a recording that rose into the R&B Top Ten during 1984.
