Biography
J. Long works as a vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer across contemporary gospel and R&B. He previously held associate-member status in Pretty Ricky, the RIAA-certified gold-selling group. Released independently in 2009, his sprawling contemporary-R&B album Girl Listen arrived as a 19-track project. After becoming a born-again Christian, Long shifted toward religious themes, which surfaced on the 2012 mixtape R&B (Redeemed & Blessed). The next year he wed Total’s Pam Long. Secular music reemerged in 2015 with the affectionate single “Hit Girl,” which preceded a solo tour.
