Trombonist Jack Delaney collaborated extensively with leading figures and ensembles across the traditional jazz scene. From the late 1940s into the mid-1950s he performed alongside Johnny Reininger, Sharkey Bonano, and Tony Almerico. During the mid-1950s he appeared frequently on sessions by Almerico's Parisian Room Band behind Lizzie Miles. He also cut tracks in New Orleans leading his own groups as well as in tandem with Ken Colyer and Pete Fountain throughout those same years. Beginning in 1958 Delaney held a post at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans beside Leon Kellner and later rejoined Fountain.
