Biography
Jack Preston works as a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and rapper while calling Atlanta home. Raised in a military family, he relocated repeatedly across the United States during childhood and lived for periods in North Carolina, California, and Georgia. His musical path began with drums before expanding to guitar and keyboards, after which he moved into production that blended samples with live instrumentation. Early projects included the fully instrumental Pickled Beets and The Language of Anguish, alongside more reflective efforts such as Trouble and the joint release In the Land of Wanderers, which spotlighted his collective the Dojo. The year 2015 brought the wide-ranging End of the Future, whose often relaxed and steadily modest delivery masked intricate lyricism.
