Biography
Vocalist Jackie Ryan entered the evolving jazz landscape as the new millennium began, cultivating a sound that blended traditional elements with an exotic flair. Drawing from her Mexican, Irish, French, and Spanish descent, she channels that heritage directly into her performances. Ryan performs in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, with audible traces of Sarah Vaughan, Duke Ellington, and Billie Holiday woven throughout her delivery. Her live recording For Heavens Sake appeared in 2000. Two years afterward she issued Passion Flower.
