Having completed his training at both the Ecole César Franck and the Paris Conservatoire, Bondon established the Ensemble Moderne de Paris and held positions with the ORTF and the Commission Nationale de la Musique Populaire. In 1968 he supplied the score for the Winter Olympic Games in Grenoble, shaping his language to reflect the austere atmosphere of the site. A highly productive creator who draws material from domains such as science fiction, he draws upon an extensive spectrum of tonal precedents throughout his output.
