Biography
Jade Anderson, a British singer-songwriter drawn to soul music, first tried her hand at poetry and songwriting while still in her teens. As the youngest daughter of Jon Anderson, frontman of the storied progressive rock outfit Yes, she stepped into the entertainment world at sixteen by signing on with an all-girl teen pop act. Seeking a more personal outlet, she joined forces with Eg, a songwriter from her area, who helped shape and co-produce her opening album, Dive Deeper, inside his London studio.
Her solo path opened in Japan when she staged a debut concert backed by seven musicians and two additional singers for an MTV anniversary celebration. The single "Sugarhigh" arrived as her breakthrough track in May 2002.
