Jaden Michaels applied the same intimate lyrical approach from her earlier work across multiple genres when she turned toward country music, having first built a reputation as a pop songwriter during the 2010s. The 2017 release of her initial country-pop single "Preach" marked that shift. In the intervening years she supplied material for American Idol contestants including Jessica Sanchez and Nick Fradiani while also co-writing tracks for Carly Rae Jepsen, JoJo, and Lea Michele among others. As a vocalist she performed backup duties and served as featured singer on recordings by EDM artists Tritonal and Quix. Her self-titled debut EP appeared in 2021.

Born Brittany Lynn Scriven in Davenport, Iowa, she is the older sister of singer and songwriter Julia Michaels. She relocated to Los Angeles as a teenager and obtained her first publishing deal at age 19. Her breakthrough as a writer arrived with Namie Amuro's 2009 Japanese hit "Love Game." On the vocal side she appeared on two tracks from Tye Tribbett's 2010 album Fresh and supplied backup vocals for Demi Lovato's 2011 LP Unbroken. Her songwriting credits in the following years encompassed material for Carly Rae Jepsen, Lea Michele, Australian Idol's Jessica Mauboy, and American Idol's Candice Glover, among them the latter's debut single "I Am Beautiful" co-written with Joleen Belle. In 2014 she issued her own pop single "Walk On."

She continued securing regular songwriting assignments, including material issued by South Korean group Red Velvet in 2015, while 2016 brought releases she co-penned for Nick Fradiani, contemporary Christian artist Britt Nicole, and dance-pop singer JoJo. That same year her vocals were featured on EDM duo Tritonal's "Running into Me."

She resurfaced as a solo artist in mid-2017 with the country single "Preach." Late 2018 saw the arrival of "Behave," co-written with Steve Mostyn (Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys) and Alex Niceforo (Britney Spears, Chord Overstreet). Also in 2018 she was featured on the club song "Giving Up" by Quix.

Michaels gave birth to a daughter in 2019. The ensuing years brought little activity until she re-emerged in 2021 with an eponymous EP and a feature on Bryan Todd's single "Real."
