Biography
During the mid-1990s, New York City jazz pianist James Hurt first drew notice through his work on recording sessions for Antonio Hart’s Here I Stand, Russell Gunn’s Gunn Fu, and Sherman Irby’s Full Circle. Blue Note issued his debut album as a leader, Dark Grooves--Mystical Rhythms, in 1999.
