Biography
Following the 1997 breakup of Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine and the collapse of several hurried plans to continue onward, James Morrison returned in 2001 via a pair of separate solo outlets, Jim's Super Stereoworld and James Robert Morrison. Jim's Super Stereoworld carried forward the punk music hall flavor of his earlier work, yet the James Robert Morrison album, issued only months afterward, confirmed that the introspective and eccentric songcraft long valued by Carter devotees in pieces such as "Skywest and Crooked" and "Nowhere Fast" had remained intact.
