In the late 1920s and early 1930s Paramount captured the work of numerous enigmatic blues performers whose histories, like the label’s own files, slipped into oblivion. James Wiggins was among them, cutting two sides in October 1929 with pianist Blind Leroy Garnett. Also billed as James “Boogie It” Wiggins, he is thought to have made his home in Dallas, TX for at least part of his performing years.
