Jarabe de amor

In 1999 the Chilean tropical outfit Jarabe de Amor entered a deal with Sony Music and laid down its first long-player, Cumbia Sabrosita, during the same calendar year. Guitarist Rodrigo Astudillo guided the ensemble to regional chart success via the theme song from the domestic soap opera “Santo Ladron.”
