Born in Guadalajara in 2001, Jasiel Nuñez built a career as a singer-songwriter within Mexican regional music. He endured depression throughout his teenage years yet overcame it through exposure to the corridos of the late Ariel Camacho, whose example prompted Nuñez to pursue music. He began posting original material at fifteen, quickly cultivating an online audience, and issued his debut album, Vueltas de la Vida, in 2020.

Momentum accelerated once he teamed with neighborhood acquaintance Peso Pluma, who had swiftly risen to global stature in corridos tumbados. Nuñez supplied writing and vocals for two major singles from Peso Pluma’s 2023 platinum album Génesis—“Rosa Pastel” and “Lagunas.” Peso Pluma reciprocated by placing Nuñez on Double P Records, including him on a United States tour, and uniting with Junior H for “Bipolar,” Nuñez’s leading hit to date. Subsequent pairings with DannyLux on “Corazón Frío” and YNG Lvcas on “Qué Loco Es” further advanced his standing as both vocalist and writer.

Nuñez delivered his long-awaited second album in 2024: the star-studded, twenty-track, double-length Odisea. All prior collaborators appeared in return, joined by Adriel Favela, Tito Double P, Luis R Conriquez, Ramon Vega, and Eslabon Armado. The set reached number six on the Top Latin Albums chart and number eight on Regional Mexican Albums.
