Biography
Jasmina Maschina, also known as Jasmine Guffond and residing in Berlin, fuses folk with electronic elements through guileless melodies, intricate lyrics, and textured sonic layers while simultaneously belonging to the experimental electronic duo Minit. Friends urged her to document her songs cast in more conventional melodic and compositional forms, leading her to record them domestically with assistance from several collaborators, among them Torben Tilly, Minit’s remaining member. Staubgold put out her first album, Demolition Series, in spring 2008.
