A Houston, Texas native, Jason Hawk Harris grew up in a household centered on music, where both his father and an uncle played guitar—the latter having passed away before any meeting could occur. His grandfather sparked an interest in classic country sounds, beginning with Elvis Presley as the entry point, after which Harris began playing guitar during elementary school, performed punk music throughout his teenage years, and developed a fascination with Queen’s grand theatricality that eventually extended into classical music appreciation
