Biography
Originating from Berthoud, Colorado, singer/songwriter Jason Vigil spent his formative years there attending the local high school before retrieving his father's long-neglected guitar from storage and learning to play it independently. Those early efforts led him to establish his first group, Sandalwood. The lineup he presently directs features Cale Hand, a Sandalwood alumnus, on drums, Justin Miller on keyboards, Paul Walker on lead guitar following his arrival in December 2007, and Skinny on bass; Scene magazine designated the ensemble the finest band in northern Colorado during December 2005. Hand exited in March 2007, at which point Eric Garcia stepped in as drummer and percussionist. Vigil issued his debut album, Heart Gone Sober, through his own label in October 2006.
