Biography
In 2002 Matt Howard, Julian Wettlin, and Matt Rickle launched the Michigan-based Javelins, whose output consists of angular post-rock anthems distinguished by memorable hooks, exceptional musicianship, and incisive lyrics. Momentum built quickly, and within months of forming the trio was delivering high-energy concerts that fostered a devoted audience while also issuing a five-song EP. Suburban Sprawl Music, the Livonia label, scheduled the band’s debut full-length for release in autumn 2004.
