Javier Limón

From Madrid, composer producer and performer Javier Limón has collaborated with leading figures across flamenco. His guitar appeared next to Niño Josele on the 2002 anthology Flamenco: A Windham Hill Guitar Collection, yet his closest creative bond remains with passionate singer Diego "Dieguito" el Cigala. Limón earned the Producer of the Year trophy at the 2004 Latin Grammys for shaping the sessions that paired Dieguito with Cuban jazz pianist Bebo Valdés on the album Lágrimas Negras. Two years later he issued Limón through his own imprint Casa Limón; the record united him with Paco de Lucía, Andrés Calamaro, Valdés, Luz Casal and additional guests, securing a nomination for Best Flamenco Album at the 2006 Latin Grammys.
