Biography
JD & the Evil's Dynamite Band forms part of Soul Fire's roster of retro-leaning deep funk acts. The group concentrates on dense psychedelic funk that recalls the experimentalism of the late '60s and early '70s, even though Soul Fire acknowledges the material was not recorded during those years. After the non-LP single "Haaa-Sheesh," the band issued its debut full-length, Explodes Across the Nation, in 2001.
