Biography
JDSY functions as the stage name for Joseph Sims, the electronic pop producer and vocalist tied to both Ghostly International and Moongadget. Sims entered the world in Ann Arbor, MI, during 1982 and reached listeners for the first time in 2005 when Ghostly International included his remix of “For You” on the Solvent remix collection Elevators and Oscillators. The placement followed his submission of a production demo to the Ann Arbor-based imprint. That early placement led the label to feature his track “Me See” on the 2006 various-artists EP New Faces. Moongadget then issued his debut EP, Understander, in 2008, after which Ghostly International presented the full-length follow-up Adage of Known a couple of months afterward.
