Biography
Known for lending her honey glazed voice to the indie avant-garde sounds of Mecca Normal, Jean Smith stepped away from the band in the late '90s to launch a solo career. Her self-titled debut arrived on Kill Rock Stars in early 2000, after which she joined Godspeed You Black Emperor! on tour that fall.
