Biography
Prior to embarking on a solo path in 2006, the Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Jeff Merchant had already accumulated substantial performing experience. He established the alternative songwriter showcase known as Broken Mic, which maintained a consistent presence at Silverlake's Spaceland nightclub. Earlier, he served as co-frontman for MetaTonic and led PG-13 as its frontman, prior to joining the Lullabies, whose first album, Lullabies' Lullaby, appeared in 2004. Even as he remained active with that ensemble, Merchant produced his initial solo effort, Window Rolled Down, issued via True Classical CDs during February 2006. August 2009 saw the arrival of his next release, City Makes No Sound.
