Biography
Initially performing on the accordion, Jeff Palmer later transitioned to the organ around the age of fifteen, developing his skills entirely through self-instruction without any prior experience as a pianist. Emerging as a skilled organist who forged a distinctive style despite the prevailing influence of Jimmy Smith, he has collaborated with guitarists including Grant Green, George Benson, John Scofield, and John Abercrombie. As a bandleader, Palmer has issued recordings on the Statiras, Soul Note, AudioQuest, and Reservoir labels.
