Philadelphia serves as home base for musician, producer, and engineer Jeff Zeigler. Deeply embedded in the local scene for years, he operates Uniform Recording, the studio where he has tracked albums for Kurt Vile, the War on Drugs, A Sunny Day in Glasgow, and many additional artists. He has also worked as sound engineer at the Philadelphia venue Johnny Brenda's and has handled tour management plus live sound for Vile, Frightened Rabbit, and the Twilight Sad. An accomplished guitarist and synthesizer player, Zeigler has performed with the indie and post-rock outfits Relay and Arc in Round while releasing his own material under the Valley Exit moniker. His frequent collaborations include extensive projects with another Philadelphia mainstay, harpist Mary Lattimore. In 2013 the pair first presented their score for Philippe Garrel's 1968 silent film Le Révélateur. Thrill Jockey issued their album Slant of Light in 2014; three years later the label brought out the Le Révélateur recording, which the duo then performed live at screenings across the United States and Europe.
