Biography
Originally established in North Carolina during 1991, Jennyanykind launched their trajectory as a grungy alternative rock outfit. Initial output appeared on independent imprints, after which their approach gradually shifted toward a more psychedelic and playful character. Elektra ultimately signed the group for the 1996 album Revelater, at which point their stylistic blend had become notably distinctive. Following the lackluster performance of that lone release, the label ended the contract, prompting a swift transition to Yep Roc Records and the continuation of new recordings. The 2000 album I Need You marked their final effort before the group dissolved amid waning motivation, although several members subsequently joined Jule Brown.
