Biography
Jeremy Porter, a Michigan-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist, helped form the Regulars, one of the Upper Peninsula’s earliest punk bands. Since the early 1990s he has performed and toured, building a reputation through hard-hitting regional outfits such as the Offramps, SlugBug, and Fidrych. His sound fuses rootsy Americana, country-rock, punk, and power pop. Porter began his solo career in 2010 with the Magwheel Records album Part of One. Longing for the drive of a full band, he brought in Jason Bowes—bassist from the Offramps and Fidrych—and Hotwells drummer Gabriel Doman to record his second release, 2013’s Partner in Crime, issued under the name Jeremy Porter & the Tucos.
